Yuvraj Singh hits six sixes vs England in the Twenty20 World Cup Match!

For my cricket challenged readers, this is sort of the equivalent of a baseball batter hitting 6 home runs in the same game back-to-back. Only better.

Why are home runs called "sixes"? Did the pitcher suck? Or was that hitter just soooo good? Why didn't they take the pitcher out? Can they do that in cricket?
